The QbTest is a computer-based, FDA-cleared assessment for diagnosing and managing response to ADHD treatment. The QbTest for ADHD diagnosis can be administered in our Union, New Jersey office or at home.

More about the QbTest

Our practice uses Qbtech's ADHD's testing - an FDA-cleared clinical tool that provides objective data for diagnosing and treating ADHD in patients 6-60 years old. This evidence-based test allows us to gather more information about your symptoms so as to better understand your treatment needs.

Qbtech's technologies has been adopted acorss 43 states in the U.S. and at a national level by organizations such as the National Health System (England). Qbtech's technologies have been documented in over 35 independent studies in diagnosis and treatment optimization, showing benefits across the patient-care pathway.

What to expect during Qbtesting

  • 15-20 minute, non-verbal, computer-based task
  • The task measures your attention level and impulse control
  • While perfoming the task, movements are measured to determine if hyperactivity is present
  • Results are compared to an age and sex-matched group
  • With the information from your clinical interview and rating scale(s), your provider will interpret the results to determine whether you qualify for an ADHD diagnosis
  • If an ADHD diagnosis is indicated, our practice may then conduct Qbtech's testing after treatment is initiated to measure your response to treatment

Why testing for ADHD is important!

Objective Data
ADHD presents very differently depending on one's age and sex. Using an objective measure of ADHD helps to minimize age and sex bias, and improve the accuracy of diagnosis for a broad group of people.

Overlapping Symptoms
Symptoms for ADHD can overlap with other disorders. Objective testing provides data to better understand whether or not the symptoms fit presentation we expect to see in people with ADHD.

Optimal Treatment
Finding the right treatment and determining the effectiveness of treatment can be difficult. Testing allows us to measure your response to treatment to ensure optimal outcomes and streamlined medication management.
